Database/Systems Administrator

The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) is a company limited by guarantee. It was established in 1996 to facilitate the Government's implementation of the ongoing economic reforms and enabling the private as well as the public sector to raise capital. The role of the DSE in the economy is the mobilization of resources and directing them to the productive sectors of the economy. DSE is also a depository of the Tanzania financial markets statistics.

Description:
The DSE is looking for ambitious, highly motivated, creative, innovative and experienced young professional Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies:

Education and Experience:

Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or its equivalent from a reputable higher learning institution in Tanzania or abroad with at least two years working experience in a reputable firm or organization.

Personal Attributes:

• Extensive knowledge of Oracle 10g Release II database.
• Systems development skills especially in the following PUSOL and SOL
• Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
• Working knowledge of computer server operations.
• Basic knowledge of computer architecture and related communications eQuipments (such as Routers, Switches and Firewalls).

General Qualifications
In addition to the above qualifications, applicants for the three vacant posts should be persons with high level integrity, not be above 35 years of age and fluent in both spoken and written English.
