The Kenya Institute of Education (KIE) wishes to recruit qualified professionals for vacant position as outlined below

The duties at this level will entail:

* Formulating the station goals, policies and procedures;
* Coordinating production work for the Educational television channel;
* Preparing annual workplan and budget;
* Liaising with the Programming manager on programs content and schedules;
* Planning and supervising television production activities and personnel;
* Liaising with producers, directors and technical teams on television productions;
* Initiating program production partnerships and sponsorship;
* Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations and guidelines in broadcasting;
* Conducting monitoring and evaluation of the educational channel productions and preparing reports and;
* Inducting and training staff.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade an officer must have:

* Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Communications, Media Studies, Education, Broadcast Journalism, or related field and at least three (3) years experience in TV production in a reputable broadcasting house at a supervisory level;
* Background Knowledge of the Kenyan curricula
* Knowledge in educational news gathering, reporting and presentation;
* Advanced analytical skills;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Ability to adhere to Strict deadlines and;
* Conversant with broadcast regulations, rules and guidelines as well as technical and production standards.
