QI Advisor- Health Care Improvement Project in Tanzania

The QI Advisor will provide technical leadership and guidance to MOHSW structures and stakeholders to develop and operationalize Quality Improvement Framework to enhance quality improvement in various dimensions of care in HIV/AIDS.

Description: Scope of Work:
Support multiple continuous quality improvement efforts through capacity building and coordinated implementation of modern quality improvement initiatives for better health outcomes in Tanzania.

Work in close collaboration with the MOHSW, HIV/AIDS implementing partners as well as other health development partners to support development of effective Quality Improvement strategies for prevention, care, treatment and support services to achieve better health outcomes across the continuum of care transcending all levels to the homes.

Participate in development of programmatic plans and support needs-based continuous quality improvement training and education to RHMTs, CHMTs, CBOs and NGOs etc. and integration of QI methods and best practices into routine facility activities.

Support MOHSW to establish systems for continuous learning and implementation of continuous Quality Improvement methods as well as the spread of successful innovations throughout the health sector.

Work with MOHSW to establish performance monitoring system for tracking priority QI indicators across collaborating sites to show improvement in processes and care outcomes.

Work with the MOHSW to improve the competency and capability of health workers by strengthening quality training programs, including advocacy for quality assurance within core curricula for health providers.

Work with MOHSW and Implementing Partners in identifyin"g and communicating "best practices" in HIV/AIDS healthcare delivery through newsletters, training and coaching sessions.

Participate in drafting the Country Operational Plans and produce HCI and PEPFAR programmatic reports.

Any other duties as assigned/required by URC
Requirements: Requirements

Suitable candidate should be a graduate in social or and health sciences with postgraduate training in public health, The candidate should be familiar with the health system in Tanzania and have permission to work in the country. Experience in Home Care Service delivery and Quality Improvement is an added advantage.
