Program Associate, Communications

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a nonprofit international health organization with over four decades of experience strengthening health systems, local capacity and institutions.
MSH takes a comprehensive approach to improving health to achieve scalability, lasting impact, and sustainability.
Our mission is to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health.
MSH would like to invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join its project teams in Kenya and South Sudan.

Program Associate, Communications
The Program Associate, Communications works with technical staff in Nairobi and the regions and offers communications technical assistance to the project.

He or she offers assistance in writing, editing, and in dissemination of technical documents, M&E reports and success stories. The Program Associate, Communications works closely with staff in all areas of the program understand, synthesize and communicate programmatic activities and achievements of the project.

Applicants will possess an advanced degree in journalism, communications or other related disciplines or a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent relevant experience.

Additional qualifications in health related areas such as masters in public health will be an advantage. Candidates will demonstrate extensive experience in practicing journalism and or public relations, preferably in a health related sector.

This position requires candidates who are articulate, passionate, have strong writing and editing skills. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate and work with team of professionals to realize the project’s communication strategy.
