Various Positions at ICT Solutions Ltd

Octopus ICT Solutions, an IT company dealing primarily with E- Learning, Internet and Web Solutions and based in Nairobi is seeking to hire people to fill the following positions

1. MARKETING COORDINATOR
The incumbent will be responsible for successfully assist the marketing team with various tasks such as collateral development, customer satisfaction analysis, sales programs, product development and service programs. Candidates should be able to multitask, have strong communication skills and business knowledge. Marketing and sales awareness and experience will be required. The marketing coordinator professional will be expected to assist with and deliver marketing information in a timely manner on behalf of the marketing department.
• Undertake the implementation of marketing promotions and campaigns
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
• Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees. Forging and maintaining relationships with new & existing clients
• Proposing and Presenting ELearning, internet and or web based solutions to customers

Requirements and Skills

• A degree in marketing or business related field.
• Previous sales experience (at least 1 year) is a must. Selling experience into electronic commerce (e-commerce) services, ICT services and or software applications is an added advantage.
• At least a foundation certificate in an IT-Related training. Must be computer literate with MS Office products. Excellent Computer Skills.
• Working knowledge of Internet marketing strategies.
• A proven, demonstrable track record of success in business development and sales management.
• A self-motivated attribute and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Superior knowledge of sales techniques including cold-calling, networking, lead generation, all with the ability to capture and close the deal.
• Superior work Ethics.

2. WEB DEVELOPERS
The web developer will be responsible for:
• Translating a client’s marketing or informational content into a functional website.
• Mapping or outlining a website’s structural content.
• Creating or editing images and graphics for website use.
• Determining all coding requirements for site creation including: e- commerce capability, forms and specialized scripts.
• Creating templates of approved website layout.
• Coordinating with programmers for specialized scripts.
• Creating verbal content for the website or using approved content from the client.
• Integrating verbal content with site design for final product.
• Posting completed site to internet server using FTP software.
• Making changes to the site directed by client.
• Submitting completed site to search engines.
• Working with Project Managers and content team to ensure products are delivered on time and according to quality standards.
Requirements and skills
• Ability to use HTML, PHP, Flash, Photoshop/Illustrator, and ability to create CMS sites.
• Include examples of sites done in your CV

3. CONTENT DEVELOPERS
The Web content developer will be responsible for researching, writing, gathering, organizing, and editing information for publication on web sites. Content includes prose, graphics, pictures, recordings, movies or other digital assets.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Search engine optimization
• Content development and content enrichment
• Set up of Domain Registration and Hosting
• Web and Email Support for existing clients
• Liaising with clients to provide required content
• researching and developing articles
• edit, review, and decide what articles will be used and what articles will be rejected
• Ensure website design and content meet copy style guide and graphics standards.
• Perform regular reviews of the website to ensure content accuracy, timeliness and relevance.
• Test website accessibility and functionality from a variety of environments.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Design and create internet applications including interactive forms.
• Maintain current web site.
• Monitor web usage and provide statistics for management reporting.
• Ensure website content meets the needs of external clients.
• Manage links and cross-promotions with other sites.
• Coordinate timely responses to e-mail inquiries received via the website.
Requirements and skills

• Professional writing skills
• Advanced Computer and IT skills
• Preference will be given to applicants with skills in Web development and the ability to use HTML, PHP, Flash, Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Samples of work should be included if any.
