Key Duties and Responsibilities;
Will do the outreach smearing centre in the community to identify AFB+TB cases.
Preparing sputum slide of suspected TB patients.
Will also prepare reagents for strain slide.
Do the microscope examinations of sputum slide.
Maintain Laboratory registers according to the NTP.
Conduct trailing to program assistants on how to prepare sputum slide.
Prepare quarterly case finding reports in collaboration with TB focal person in the district
Requirements:
Qualifications and Competencies
Must have diploma in Laboratory Technology
Must be focused and very critical for purposes of accuracy
Must be a good listener and emotion tolerant
With good communication skills and self determined / motivated.
