The United States Embassy – Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Kenya has vacancies for various positions.

1. Public Health Specialist - Statistician

Requirements:
# Masters degree in the field of Statistics or Biostatistics/Medical statistics is required.
# At least two years working experience in a supervisory data management, programming and analysis position in the health related field and advanced analysis using either SPSS, SAS, STATA or any other statistical software.
# Level IV (Fluent) English ability.
# In-depth, comprehensive, and evolving knowledge of statistical and mathematical analysis techniques integrated with computer applications.
# Knowledge of parametric and non-parametric techniques, along with categorical data analysis is required to provide statistical support.

2. Public Health Specialist (Epidemiologist/Surveillance)

Requirements:
# Masters degree in Epidemiology or Health Sciences.
# Five years experience as an epidemiologist or surveillance practitioner with a research organization, university, or public health services implementing agency.
# Level IV (fluent) English ability is required and Level III Kiswahili ability also required.
# Must have extensive knowledge of the methods and strategies for HIV/AIDS surveillance and epidemiologic methods and principles.
# Must have thorough public health knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues.

3. Public Health Specialist (Senior Statistician)

Requirements:
# A PhD in statistics, biostatistics, or related fields.
# At least five years of experience working in public health or related field.
# Training in biostatistics, computers, data management and advanced analysis using either SPSS, SAS, STATA or any other statistical software.
# Knowledge of parametric and non-parametric techniques, along with categorical data analysis is required to provide statistical support.
# Must have advanced level knowledge of statistical software.
