Baylor College of Medicine Jobs- TB/HIV OFFICER Vacancy

Position: TB/HIV OFFICER
Duty station: Arua, Soroti
Reports to: Care and Treatment Specialist

Purpose of the job: To monitor and coordinate the strengthening of the Part¬ner districts and health facility activities to address the dual burden of TB/HIV through implementation of collaborative activities in accordance with MOH guidelines.

Key results areas
1. Support partner districts and health facilities to integrate planning for TB/ HIV activities into district work plans, budgets and performance measure¬ment plans.
2. Plan, direct and participate in building capacity of partner districts and health facilities to integrate and implement TB/HIV collaborative activities.
3. Provide technical support to partner districts in integrating and conducting support supervision of TB/HIV activities as part of the overall district plan for support supervision of health services.
4. Support partner districts to improve linkages and referrals between HIV/ AIDS care and TB control programs at all levels of health care delivery.
5. Support partner districts to conduct coordination and progress review meetings for TB/HIV activities.
6. Support relevant district directorates and departments to build capacity of existing community structures (VHTs, DOTS and other volunteers) to integrate TB/HIV into existing activities
7. Prepare regular reports about TB/HIV program activities and submit them to the Care and treatment specialist for review in accordance with established reporting guidelines.

Qualifications and personal specifications
The successful candidate will have;
1. A Master's degree in internal Medicine or Paediatrics,
2. At least three (3) years' experience in public health preferably in TB/HIV programming
3. Computer literacy in MS Office
4. Good presentation, interpersonal, teamwork, and oral and written communication skills,
5. 24-40 years of age
6. Registration with the Uganda Medical Council is required
