Project Administrator job in Tanzania

The Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College, Moshi, wishes to announce one position for an Information and Communication Technologies Leader and a Project Administrator for the Medical Education Partnership Initiative at the KCMC Campus.

Project Administrator

Qualification

* Must hold a Degree in Management from a recognized institution.
* Must have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word,Access and Excel.

Experience

* Minimum of 2 years working experience managing large, complex programs preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

The person will report to Mr. Ahaz T. Kulanga, Deputy Provost, Administration and manage the administration
of collaborative research projects and activities, specifically

* Financial management of grants to meet all standards of the United States NIH, PEPFAR and HRSA and Duke University sponsored programs
* Preparation of yearly/quarterly progress reports and fiscal statements as required by the sponsors
* Work with the Deputy Provost- Administration, KCMC personnel, project coordinators, laboratory, transport officers, visiting staff, local national and international partners and organizations to assure smooth administrative coordination of collaboration activities. In a professional and ethical manner with competence, accountability, and integrity.
* Develop and manage the personnel management system for the recruitment, appointments, confirmation and promotion of staff at different categories, supervision, and ongoing evaluation of staff.
* Manage payroll on a day- to- day basis. Be familiar with Tanzania employment regulations and conditions.
* Act as the primary contact between the collaboration and local and national institutional review boards, parastatals, and stately bodies. Establish system for version-control of key documents.
* Organize meetings as requested. Record and maintain meeting minutes.
* Coordinating communications between all grant programs.
* Make transportation and hospitality arrangements for visiting personnel. This includes assisting with travel arrangements including flight itineraries, residence permits and Visas.
* Manage and maintain collaboration infrastructure.
* Develop in-depth understanding of the scope of activities under the partnership with a basic understanding of the goals of individual projects.

Remuneration and Terms

* Attractive salary.
* 5-year contract; probation period of 6 months.
