Technical officer - Coordinated OVC Project

• The Position holder will be responsible for overall coordination of OVC care, support and protection activities as well as monitoring and evaluation of the same in Dar es Salaam region.

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinating OVC care and support activities in the region, providing supportive supervision to sub-grantees and networking with District Social Welfare Officers and other stakeholders.

• Implementing, monitoring and evaluating OVC activities and ensuring all recommendations related to OVC activities resulting from project audits, interim evaluations and reviews, and supportive monitoring visits are implemented accordingly.

• Ensuring national standards; policies and guidelines on OVC care and support are implemented by the sub-grantees and understood by OVC focal persons.

• Implementing the program Performance Monitoring Plan at regional level.

• Under the guidance of the Senior Technical Officer, M&E, work to strengthen and support the monitoring and information management capacity of sub grantees.

• Ensuring the quality of data collected by partners is reported in a timely manner.

• Providing technical guidance to sub-grantees to ensure collaboration and networking with district government, including DSWO and health officials.

• Documenting and sharing lessons learned during the implementation of OVC activities in the region.

• Assisting districts and regions to aggregate verify report and evaluate data received from OVC implementing partners; collaborate with regional technical team members to review and provide feedback on monthly performance and service statistics.

• Assisting in preparation of program reports, documentation and presentations.

• Facilitating sub grantees to ensure they use and jntegra,te ovc activities into the existing structures such as MVCC.

• Organizing and facilitating trainings as part of capacity building for sub grantees and district Councils officials.

• Assisting sub grantees and district Councils in the implementation of OVC Data Management System and utilization of the same.

Minimum requirement

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in social sciences or public health.

• At least three years experience in HIV and AIDS programming.

• Knowledge and experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.

• Experience in program and financial management.

• Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, and with minimal supervision.

• Good negotiation skills, diplomacy and sensitivity in dealing with partners.
