Job Profile

* To recruit, train and support franchisees to deliver a high quality of animal health care and other related livestock and agricultural services to livestock keepers and develop profitable businesses.
* Prepare and monitor annual and quarterly operational plans and budgets including key performance indicators, ensuring early action is taken to.
* Ensure that franchisees are able to prepare viable business plans, including doing market research and baseline studies of target markets.
* Ensure input suppliers are identified appropriate quality checking of inputs is carried and negotiate contracts on favourable terms.
* Ensure the company has efficient procurement and distribution systems.

Person Profile

* Extensive knowledge of the livestock sector in Kenya and knowledge of current best practice in animal health care, livestock management and marketing.
* Qualified veterinarian.
* Minimum of ten years of business operations management experience in either agro or animal healthcare organisations.
* Strong knowledge of merchandising as well as inventory and cash controls.
* Experience in business planning and budgeting, with direct responsibility for operational and results.
* Empathy with rural people.
