Preferred Educational Requirements

Desired Experience
  • 5 years experience in senior managerial role in market research or related industries
  • Market research agency practice at a senior level working on accounts of multinational clients or equivalent experience in market research consultancy or experience in research units of large multinational advertising agencies, international NGOs, etc.

  1. SENIOR MANAGER FINANCE
    Industry: Telecommunications
    Reporting to: Financial Controller
    Role Profile: Prepares and consolidates all financial data used for extraction of management reports. This includes liaising with various departments and sub departments in order to produce accurate and timely financial statements as per IFRS requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Put in place processes and procedures for the general ledger section and communicate these to the various stakeholders.
  • Ensure the company’s assets are properly and cost effectively insured.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions recorded in the books comply with laid down accounting policies and standards.
  • Approve all Journal entries from all sub modules before posting to the general ledger.
  • Managing intercompany reconciliations.
  • Updating the project Monitor on a monthly basis and forwarding to management by the 5th of the following month
  • Interaction with internal staff to ensure all financial data are submitted before reporting namely payroll, revenue, accruals.
  • Consolidate financial data and prepare financial statements namely balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements for onward submission to the reporting team by the 3rd of the following month.
  • Managing the fixed assets and inventory sub modules.
  • Ensure all P & L accounts are analyzed and variances explained before month end closure.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are analyzed and filed by the 10th of the following month.
  • Managing the chart of accounts and ensure this coincides with the group mappings.
  • Contact person for all internal and external audits.
  • Supervising general ledger staff including setting and monitoring performance contracts and competence development.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Commerce or a business related field; Masters will be an added advantage.
    • CPA/ACCA qualification
    • 5 years experience preferably in Senior Management.

  1. SENIOR MANAGER RECEIVABLE ACCOUNTING
Industry: Telecommunications
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Role Profile: To oversee sales channels activities, ensures all sales orders are invoiced, paid for and properly accounted for in the books of accounts as per IFRS requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Managing the accounting for VAS and any other new products launched by the company.
  • Put in place procedures and processes for the sales channels section.
  • Approval of distributors, franchise and corporate sales orders on confirmation of payments as per the payment terms.
  • Ensure all distributor commissions are properly calculated and invoiced by the distributor.
  • Ensure all orders are invoiced; payments are receipted and properly accounted for in the system.
  • Managing the bank guarantees for distributors if any.
  • Ensure allocation receipts to payments.
  • Managing the debtors aging.
  • Setting up payment points for postpaid customers.
  • Ensure the postpaid collections are processed and uploaded in cerillion to update the customers’ accounts.
  • Credit control management for outstanding debtor accounts.
  • Coordinating month end closure for the section.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Distribution And Territory Management: trade to achieve availability and grow sales within the assigned area.
  • Sales Targets: Ensure achievement of set sales and Usage targets i.e. Monthly, quarterly, semi
    annually or annually.
  • Routines and Processes: Ensure internal collaboration, teamwork development and implementation of key Management and sales routines

7. TERRITORY MANAGER
Reports To: Area Sales Manager
Role Purpose: To achieve volume and distribution targets in order to maximise brand availability and visibility, through the execution of essential Trade Marketing activities in line with the channel, price strategies and the required customer service levels.

Key Accountabilities
i. Operations/ Professional/ Business
  1. Implement a Trade Marketing and Distribution plan which meets the objectives of trade marketing & distribution and is in line with brand / price strategy and the needs of the trade in order to achieve the Company objectives : volume and value share, Numeric and Weighted Distribution for our Drive Brands, OOS)
  2. Achieve trade coverage, visit frequency and outlet visit plan in order to maximise route effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Manage the Distributor, Wholesales, and retailers through the implementation of account strategies and plans in order to maximize volume, share and other distribution management parameters performance vs. the competition’s.
  4. Ensure that the territory volume and distribution objectives of company brands are achieved by trade channel and outlet type in order that availability is maximised in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market.
  5. Ensure optimal stock levels, product quality and freshness through stock management, orientation to the trade and reporting on supply chain and product issues.
  6. Ensure that price is in line with the company strategy.
ii. Management
  1. Co-ordinate contract employees to ensure that trade marketing representation in retail chain outlets is superior to the competition in respect of both core and added value services (where applicable).
  2. Manage financial accounts and assets for the territory to ensure that trade marketing resources are secure and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
  3. Manage receivables, cash collection (and credit control ) in line with the company policies and trading terms;
  4. Responsible for accurate invoicing procedures, materials or goods under his control.
  5. Maintain accurate and relevant outlet information.
  6. Implement the account plans for merchandising and promotion through support of contract employees in order to achieve distribution and visibility targets (where applicable)
  7. Develop and maintain effective information database on trade, consumers and competitor activities and communicate in a timely way to MR&I so as to improve market understanding.
  8. To constantly monitor the achievement of yearly/cycle objectives through accurate reporting and feedback.
  9. To provide market information and reports to ensure that the relevant marketing people are fully informed at all times.
  10. Maintain accurate records & monitoring of the achievement of weekly/cycle objectives and to submit reports as requested in order to ensure effective communication is maintained with management.

Qualifications
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills (trade partnership)

- Basic Computer proficiency (Word, Excel,..)
- Experience in management of distributors' organization
- Educated to degree level
