TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) Consultant Opportunities

Our clients, the Department for International Development (DFID) in partnership with other potential development partners including Denmark, the Netherlands, Canada and Belgium are in the process of establishing TradeMark East Africa (TMEA), a not-for-profit company which aims to lead and manage a scaled-up programme of harmonised aid delivery in support of regional trade and economic integration in East Africa.

TMEA will provide a platform for delivering significant strategic support to the East African Community’s (EAC) regional integration process, improving the region’s transport corridors and reducing the costs of trade and doing business in East Africa.

TMEA will support the EAC Secretariat, EAC Partner States Governments and business and civil society organisations to take forward and benefit from the process of economic integration in East Africa.

As part of a broader programme of assistance to the EAC, our clients are providing a package of rapid technical assistance support to the EAC Secretariat, aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Secretariat under the EAC Capacity Development Action Plan (CDAP), which is expected to run for one year beginning March 2010.

Our clients therefore wish to invite applications from individual consultants to provide consultancy services in the following capacities:

  2. Sun Systems Specialist - international consultant
  3. Regional Sun Systems Specialist - East African consultant

  5. Regional Procurement Specialist - East African consultant
Interested consultants must provide information which demonstrates that they are qualified to provide these services. Specifically, a minimum of a post graduate qualification with at least 10 years relevant experience preferably in East and Southern Africa.
