German Agro Action is operating in various districts in Kenya and is currently looking for qualified Community Mobilizers and Water/Construction Engineers for fixed term field based positions in the various districts.

- Be a degree holder in social sciences
- Have knowledge and proven experience in:
- Community based interventions, preferably Cash For Work/Food for Work/WASH interventions
- Recovery and rehabilitation approaches
- Targeting methods
- M&E methodology
- Community trainings (incl. hygiene promotion)
- Project reporting
- Be computer literate
- Be ambitious, honest, and self-motivated
- Be a team player, flexible and supporting high work pressure loads
- Have a minimum of 3 years of post qualification experience in a similar position
- Be willing to live and work in remote areas and with local communities
B) Water/Construction Engineers
To qualify for this position successful candidates will:

- Be at least a degree holder in Water Engineering or Civil Engineering
- Have knowledge and proven experience in:
- Designing water supply systems (boreholes, pipelines, reservoirs, shallow wells) appropriate to requirements and local conditions, with particular experience in
- Detailed construction layout including reinforcement design
- Developing Bill of Quantities according to agreed designs
- Project Planning timeliness
- Project reporting
- Water resources management and community work
- Be ambitious, honest, self-motivated and willing to work unsupervised
- Be a team player, flexible and supporting high work pressure loads
- Have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a similar position
- Be 30 years of age and above
- Be willing to live and work in rural communities
- Be prepared to start immediately.
