Business Development Manager and Finance and Human Resources Manager Jobs

Our client is a leading international telecommunications company operating in Value Added Services and based in Dubai and with Offices in Asia, Middle East, East Africa and Western Africa.

The company offers versatile telecommunications value added services such as ring tones, text message promotions and marketing, wall papers, instant messaging and alerts.

The company is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager and Finance and Human Resources Manager for its Value Added Services.

Business Development Manager
(Should be open to options of relocation to West Africa – not mandatory)

The position will be responsible for initiating, developing and implementing opportunities for value added services applications as well as initiating relationships with potential users on the existing services.

In this way this position will be responsible for business growth through marker share progression and additional clientele.

The key roles of this position will include;
  • Establishing and building relationship with key individuals or corporations in Media industry that allow for continuity and ongoing representation.
  • Working in conjunction with the product teams on field execution and executive relationship building with prospects, clients and Systems Integrators partners
  • Liaising with other players in the industry in developing product pricing modules geared towards creating client loyalties
  • Regular Follow up and constant interaction with All key people at the media premises
  • Assisting in and advising on product costing and incentive modules
  • Mobilising and maintaining relationships with value added services partners and potential users
  • Undertaking market research in regard to potential application of value added services and content development
  • Keeping the inflow the Revenue flow as per the assigned revenue targets.
To be considered for this position, you must;
  • A degree in marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Business development preferably in telecommunications – especially in value added services
  • Have reasonable knowledge of telecom and media industry
  • Have mandatory prior exposure to Media
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proactive and able to take and steer initiatives and strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence people at various levels in the organization.
  • Must possess ability to work under pressure and handle multiple things at the same time.
  • Have the ability to go into details and effective execution skills, Very good business understanding
  • Use effective consultative and network selling practices to drive new business
  • Be well versed with correspondence through mails phone.
  • Have positive attitude, clear diction and personal drive.
  • Develop and nature strong relationship with the networks and associations.
Manager - Finance and Human Resources

The position will be responsible for the oversight of the financial and human resources management for the country office

The specific responsibilities will include;
  • Assist the Country Manager in preparation of Budgets, proactively update him on shortfalls, and suggest corrective measures.
  • Preparation and timely submission of monthly financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) along with Variance Analysis.
  • Daily processing of all transactions relating to Purchases, Sales, Expenses, Cash voucher, Bank vouchers and Journal vouchers
  • Over head expense analysis against budget
  • Conducting physical stock counts at every month end and ensuring accurate and timely recording of Fixed Assets of the company
  • Consolidation of Accounts – wherever applicable
  • Proactive contact with customers to initiate debt recovery within the company’s debt recovery parameters and other relevant standards
  • Ensuring debtors control and reporting, inventory control and reporting and creditors control and reporting - all of these along with Ageing
  • Acting as a custodian for the assets of the company on behalf of HO and reporting any abnormal activity
  • Ensuring clean internal audit, statutory audit and tax audit as applicable
  • Ensuring implementation and adaptation of the HO policies locally and proposing processes for the identified gaps
  • Ensuring local tax and other statutory compliance
  • Liaising with local government authorities and banks as applicable
  • Assisting line managers and staff in the interpretation of the company policies in day to day operations of the company
  • Formulating relevant human resources management strategies that seek to steer productivity and progressive human capital performance through research, benchmarking and embracing market best practice
  • Proactively communicating to the members of staff regarding company policies, and adherence thereof.
  • Maintaining all employee records
  • Assist the Country Manager in maintaining a harmonious and objective working environment.
To be considered for this position, you must;
  • Have a university degree in Finance, commerce or equivalent
  • Be a certified Public Accountant (CPA – K)
  • Have minimum 5 years experience Financial Management and Accounting
  • Have exposure to versatile budgeting including marketing, projects and revenue projection
  • Have knowledge and exposure in Human Resources Management especially policies interpretation, implementation and statutory regulations
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strategic in mindset with abilities to forecast and plan effectively.
  • Must possess ability to work under pressure and handle multiple things at the same time.
  • Use effective consultative and network selling practices to drive new business
  • Have positive attitude, clear diction and personal drive.
