The Institute of Policy Analysis and Research (IPAR) is an independent, indigenous and non-partisan private organisation mandated to conduct social science policy research and training.
IPAR invites qualified persons to apply for the following position: Accountant
The Accountant shall be responsible for maintaining financial records in an accurate and up to date manner and providing financial reports on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree from a recognised university, with specialisation in either finance or accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA(K))
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software packages in current use
- Comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant accounting and local tax regulations
- Familiarity with general donor accounting requirements and procedures
- Work experience in a similar capacity in a reputable organisation for at least three years
